Speeches and Stances
Speech by Kezia Rooban (Campaign Manager) regarding the givernor scandal:
"Recently, we learned that the governor of Colorado, whom we supported during his last campaign, was involved in embezzling millions of dollars from public education. What happened is deeply wrong and betrays the public trust. To the people of this state-especially the students, parents, and educators, my campaign and I are sincerly sorry.
Though we supported him based on his education policies and campaign promises, we were unaware of any illegal behavior. Campaigns also don’t have the authority to investigate the financial actions of elected officials. Throughout our campaign, we have been committed to transparency and ethical leadership, and we take responsibility for ensuring those values are reflected in the leaders we support.

My campaign also focused on what the governor stated to do when he was running his own campaign, which is why it’s important to see that he has fulfilled what he claimed to do and recognize the positive work that was done. We are also using this as an opportunity to get stronger ethical laws in place and financial transparency to ensure that our government is not part of any scandal.

Ultimately, the governor was elected by the people based on what they knew as well. We have the same information available to us, too, which is why we supported his causes. What matters now is that we no longer support the governor and are investigating the allegations. "
Speech by Everleigh Turner (Press Secretary) regarding earthquake in Boulder, Colorado:
"Today, our community is dealing with the fallout of a devastating earthquake that left homes, schools, and lives shaken. This matters because no one should feel unsafe in the place they live and learn. Our campaign is calling for updated emergency plans, stronger safety protocols, and real investment in rebuilding smarter. Supporting this effort means protecting our people and making sure Boulder is ready for whatever comes next. Our campaign has fundraisers directed towards such causes."
